Sutton Pre-School

Welcome to Sutton Pre-School's Website

Sutton Pre-school was registered in 1974 and runs from Sutton Village Hall. The hall is a large bright room and has a large enclosed outside grassed area. We serve the families of the village and surrounding areas, and through the high ratio of staff and volunteers at each session, we provide excellent care and education for all our children.

We employ seven members of staff who all hold the appropriate early year's qualifications and each dedicate time to getting to know both the children and their families. Using our children's interests we ensure a good balance of adult-led and child-initiated activities which results in our children being active learners. Each child's individual achievements are recorded in their Learning Stories and the 'next steps' planned for and shared with their families. Our children are confident, happy, secure and settled within our pre-school. They show high levels of concentration during their play and are actively involved in their learning, by making choices independently

Parents and carers are given a warm welcome and are encouraged to become involved in our pre-school by, for example, being a parent helper on a rota basis to help at a session once or twice a half term, or by  becoming a member of our committee. As we are a registered charity and are run by a committee of mostly parents and carers whose children attend the pre-school.
